Summary: The Interim Director of Process Excellence will lead the Customer Experience and business processes for a global organization based in Leeds. This strategic role requires a seasoned leader with expertise in establishing Process Excellence functions and engaging with senior leadership. The successful candidate will implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives. This position is initially for a 6-month contract and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment of Process Excellence functions across a complex global organization.
- Engage with senior leadership to build confidence and support for transformation initiatives.
- Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Create and manage a Centre of Excellence to embed best practices across the organization.
- Support team development and enhance capabilities to drive transformational efforts.
- Collaborate with third parties to embed new ways of working focused on customer-centric efficiencies.
- Oversee User Experience Design and Process Design initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in setting up Process Excellence functions at an enterprise level.
- Deep knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, preferably Black Belt certified.
- Strong commercial leadership skills with a track record of delivering optimization in complex environments.
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in driving cultural and operational transformation.
- Strategic thinking with a focus on creating scalable processes.

Interim Director of Process Excellence - Customer Experience & business processes required for an immediate start based in Leeds. 6 month contract to work for a global & complex organisation. This is a key strategic hire requiring an individual who is experienced engaging with and building confidence at Senior Leadership Level. The successful candidate will have proven experience of setting up Process Excellence functions across a large complex group at an enterprise level, likely with a significant global, distributed environment. You will have deep knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt. We are looking for a season commercial leader who has delivered Process Excellence optimisation across a complex and global enterprise, embedded new ways of working aligned to a strategic vision for future ways-of-working, in a pragmatic and measured way. Returning continuous improvement strategies to realise early and on-going value, a community of practitioners through training and embedding frameworks alongside the engagement of the Executive stakeholders to ensure momentum and confidence are felt throughout the transformation. This role covers User Experience Design and Process Design. You will be a strategic leader who can set up, run and own a global Process of Excellence. The team are well embedded and require a leader to take ownership of the strategic direction of the work, creating the Centre of Excellence practices and supporting initiatives across the organisation to embed best practice. Supporting the team to develop in their roles, stretch and grow their capabilities, but bringing that wealth of experience to supercharge the initial transformational effort. Working with 3rd parties you will own and embed new ways of working. Creating a scalable process which will hold the customer at the core & create efficiencies for the business.
