Summary: The role of Director - Crisis Management & Scenario Testing involves leading the global crisis management strategy and overseeing the scenario testing program for an insurance client on a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global crisis management strategy, governance, escalation processes and response framework
  • Design and deliver the global scenario testing programme (tabletops, drills, supplier exercises)
  • Facilitate Real Time response to major disruption events, chairing crisis calls and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Oversee client and regulatory communications during incidents
  • Maintain crisis playbooks, decision logs, and audit-ready documentation
  • Partner with Technology, Risk, Operations and senior leaders to strengthen organisational readiness
  • Deliver training, awareness and ongoing improvements to crisis response capability
  • Produce executive-level reporting on crisis trends, lessons learned and remediation

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years leading enterprise-wide crisis management in a global organisation
  • Proven experience managing major incidents across multiple regions and time zones
  • Strong understanding of operational resilience regulations (FCA, DORA, NIST, etc.)
  • Experience designing and running crisis scenarios and testing programmes
  • Excellent communication skills, able to brief executives, boards and regulators
  • Financial services background required; insurance experience preferred
  • Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI or DRI are an advantage
