We are pleased to be partnered with a Top 20 UK accountancy/advisory firm in their search for Associate Director and Director level positions within the accountancy/financial reporting silo. These roles are being recruited both on an interim basis (12-18 month fixed term contract), and permanently - depending on the situation of the successful candidate. You will be positioned in the Birmingham office of this national firm, with hybrid working.
As the Associate Director/Director, you will be leading a significant team, which is fast-growing due to developments in their West Midlands market, and working hand-in-hand with the partners to nurture existing client relationships, and also actively participate in business development to network and win new business.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as Associate Director/Director will include:
- Leading a large team across the accountancy and financial reporting practice, promoting best practice to deliver excellent advisory services to clients
- Following ongoing developments in the accountancy world and implementing them in the practice's offering to ensure a strong service provision and maintenance of competitivity
- Building strong relationships with the varied client base of SMEs who rely on the firm's advisory practice
- Actively business developing and building a strong network to win new and retain new clients
- Working alongside the SLT to plan and implement business strategy, and continue building out the office's support staff through proactive recruitment, onboarding, training and development
You will need to be ACCA, ICAEW or ICAS qualified with extensive experience leading teams in the accounting/financial reporting space in reasonably-sized firms. You can be either interim or permanent for this opportunity, as both options are available. The ideal candidate will be a skilled business developer, able to maintain existing relationships and network new clients effectively. You'll also need to be an experienced manager able to recruit, onboard and develop new staff from the bottom-up.
