Job Title:- Field Specialist III - Directional Systems (DRS)

Location:- QAT-Doha
Role Summary:-
As a Directional Driller, you'll run the operations of drilling sites using the latest technology. You'll have access to innovative equipment to effectively monitor our well-sites. You will troubleshoot problems and act quickly to ensure efficiency is maintained for our customers.
Essential Responsibilities:-
  • Following internal compliance and HSE standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Delivering high standard services by following quality and outlined process and procedures.
  • Delivering complex well trajectories such J type, S type, High DL, SideTrack  (open hole and Whipstock)
  • Communicating technical guidance and advice to customers and third-party well-site colleagues
  • Solving often complex drilling problems, by monitoring, analyzing and evaluating incidents using logging and drilling data
  • All wells, having precise landing and complex trajectories must be drilled with client desired ROP performance. Performance in some fields is primary criterion.
  • Handling drilling vibrations instantly and maintaining good tool health.
  • Drilling of Wells must be close to plan with high performance avoiding unnecessary tortuosity.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in engineering or science or other relevant degrees.
  • Min 8 Years of relevant Directional Drilling experience with minimum 3 years compulsory drilling motors and Rotary Steerable Systems experience.
  • Carry out well planning and drilling of 3D wells with DLS 6 and plus, following approved drilling practices.
  • Excellent in English (speaking and written)
  • Show good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
Desired Characteristics:-
  • Good communication with rig, service hands, office personnel and client.
  • General knowledge of basic engineering principles and good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • FSE should be able to carry out all HSE requirements at the rig and work as team leader.
  • Enjoy travelling to customer locations and being flexible to customer requirements.
  • Team worker.
  • Physically able to lift 15 kgs.
  • Able to handle high pressure jobs.
