Summary: The Direct Marketing Manager will oversee and optimize campaigns across direct channels, utilizing advanced marketing technology platforms to enhance personalization and process improvements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and optimize campaigns across direct channels (email, push, SMS, direct mail) and loyalty rewards.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign planning, builds, and deployments within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO).
  • Collaborate with Personalisation and Customer teams to orchestrate effective customer journeys.
  • Leverage campaign reporting and insights to optimize performance and drive personalization opportunities.
  • Effect a Test & Learn plan for direct customer communications in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Align workstack across Direct Customers Communications and Data & Targeting teams.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a Direct Marketing Executive.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and risks are managed in campaign management.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for successful campaign delivery.
  • Champion agile processes and tools, including AI, for faster delivery and adaptability.
  • Act with integrity and uphold the Tesco brand and business Code of Conduct.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in end-to-end campaign management across direct mail, email, and mobile.
  • Hands-on experience with ESPs and campaign/personalisation platforms (preferably AJO, Movable Ink, Jacquard).

About the role You will deliver and optimise campaigns across direct channels using leading marketing technology platforms. You will drive personalisation and process improvements to achieve business and customer outcomes. You will be responsible for Planning and end-to-end campaign management across direct channels (email, push, SMS, direct mail) and loyalty rewards, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer outcomes. Campaign builds and deployments within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), ensuring accurate audience targeting and robust QA across Tesco and Tesco Group comms. Orchestrating relevant and effective customer journeys in collaboration with Personalisation and Customer teams. Leveraging campaign reporting and insight to lead tactical activity to optimise performance and drive personalisation opportunities via marketing technology platforms (AJO, Movable Ink, Jacquard). Effecting a Test & Learn plan for direct customer communications, collaborating with Customer, Personalisation and Technology teams. Workstack alignment across Direct Customers Communications and Data & Targeting teams for effective collaboration. Manage, coach, and develop a Direct Marketing Executive, providing guidance, feedback and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Managing critical paths, ensuring deadlines are met and risks managed. Building strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of campaigns. Champion the development of agile processes and tools, including AI, that enable faster delivery and adaptability to changing business needs. You will need Experience of end-to-end campaign management: briefing, production (build), deployment, analysis and reporting, across direct mail, email and mobile. Hands-on experience with ESPs, campaign and personalisation platforms (preferably AJO, Movable Ink, Jacquard). Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and influence.
