Summary: The Digital Project Manager will lead a high-profile digital transformation initiative aimed at enhancing resident interactions with council services. This role involves managing multiple workstreams, coordinating technical and business teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of improvements to a resident-facing platform. The position requires expertise in digital project management, particularly in complex environments, and familiarity with CMS and CRM technologies. The role is hybrid, allowing for flexible working arrangements while focusing on delivering key digital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead delivery of digital projects within the programme (website development, service automation, integrations).
- Work closely with technical teams on Web APIs, CMS connectivity, and system integration.
- Oversee development of transactional web forms and customer-facing features.
- Apply Waterfall and Agile methodologies as appropriate.
- Manage project governance, risks, and budgets.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels, including ICT leadership and business teams.
- Ensure smooth transition into BAU and operational readiness.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering digital/web projects in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of CMS platforms, Web APIs, and system integration.
- Familiarity with Power BI and Power Automate (advantageous).
- Ability to manage multi-stream projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Recognised Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, Agile).

The Client's Programme is a high-profile digital transformation initiative aimed at improving how residents interact with the council for services such as waste collection, road maintenance, and other local services.
Phase 1 delivered a new resident-facing platform. Phase 2 focuses on:
- Enhancing the digital experience
- Automating processes to drive efficiency and cost savings
- Expanding functionality across multiple service areas
The platform uses CMS and CRM technology (Jadu) and integrates with various council systems via Web APIs.
Role Purpose
