Summary: The Digital Programme Manager will lead the design and implementation of a digital ecosystem to enhance hydrogen production and sales operations for a leading green hydrogen infrastructure developer. This role is crucial for advancing the company's digital transformation by integrating legacy systems and deploying new digital tools while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and strong programme management skills. This position reports to the Technical Director and involves significant interaction with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the digital transformation roadmap
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory reporting and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements and deliver tailored digital solutions
  • Plan and deliver digital projects within scope, budget, and timelines
  • Select and manage external contractors and digital service providers
  • Identify and mitigate risks while establishing contingency plans
  • Report on progress, KPIs, and programme performance to senior leadership
  • Employ best-practice methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) tailored to project needs
  • Oversee dependencies between concurrent projects and broader business initiatives
  • Promote continuous improvement and drive innovation
  • Ensure digital solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and user-centric

Key Skills:

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Strong background in digital programme and project delivery
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex digital projects across platforms
  • Proven ability to deliver CRM/ERP integrations, web applications, or trading/monitoring platforms
  • Versatile in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Sound financial and budgeting capabilities
  • Effective multitasking and problem-solving abilities under pressure
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • Experience integrating diverse systems and technologies
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Familiarity with UK low-carbon certification schemes (LCHS, RTFC) is advantageous
