About the Role: We are looking for a data-driven and creative Digital Marketing Manager to develop and manage integrated marketing programs spanning both researcher and author audiences. This role sits at the intersection of author marketing and researcher-focused product campaigns, driving awareness, demand, and engagement across Wiley's portfolio of researcher tools and 1,870 journals.

You will lead multi-channel digital campaign strategy and execution, with a strong emphasis on automation, personalisation, and performance optimisation. We're looking for someone who thinks digital-first, leads with data, and brings a genuine curiosity about understanding researchers and authors at every stage of their journey. You'll be a valued partner to our Web Marketing, Marketing Automation, and Advertising, Social & Paid Media teams, as well as our Product and Editorial stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Design and execute integrated multi-channel digital campaigns targeting researcher and author audiences – spanning awareness and lead generation through to nurture, conversion, and retention
  • Lead campaign strategy and copy/asset development for author marketing programs, driving journal article submissions across Wiley's journal portfolio
  • Develop and manage researcher-focused campaigns promoting corporate products, with clear goals around product awareness, sign-up, and active usage
  • Define the audience data and behavioural signals needed to power effective campaigns – working across data, technology, and insights teams to ensure the right information is captured and accessible, and proactively identifying new ways data can be used to deepen engagement with researcher and author audiences
  • Partner with Marketing Automation specialists to build and optimise automated nurture programmes , ensuring campaigns are efficient, scalable, and continuously improving
  • Collaborate with Performance Insights teams to monitor , report on, and act on campaign data – testing new approaches , iterating on messaging, and making evidence-based optimisation decisions
  • Identify and evaluate new digital partnership and promotion opportunities, developing business cases and investment proposals with clear cost/benefit analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline . Additional certifications in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, or SEO/SEM are a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing with proven experience building and scaling multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, using platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and LinkedIn to drive awareness, acquisition, and engagement.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage performance data, audience insights, and tools like Power BI to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to translate complex products or research-driven propositions into clear, compelling messaging across email, web, paid, and social channels, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional, global stakeholders (e.g., product, editorial, technology, and marketing) to align priorities and deliver integrated, high-impact campaigns.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working within academic publishing, scholarly communication, or a related scientific/technical field.
