Are you passionate about storytelling, championing writers, and making a difference in the literary world? The Royal Literary Fund (RLF), a renowned charity dedicated to supporting writers in financial distress, is seeking a creative and strategic Digital Marketing Manager to oversee and elevate its digital presence. In this newly created role, you will take the lead on managing the RLF's social media platforms, ensuring they reflect the organisation’s values and mission. You will develop and execute innovative digital campaigns to engage diverse audiences from professional writers, educational partners, literary agents and publishers, as well as local communities across the UK and the general literary-loving public. Your work will be pivotal in helping us increase the awareness of our charitable activities and amplify the voices of writers across the UK. As part of a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the RLF’s online narrative, bring creative ideas to life, and drive meaningful engagement in the literary and charity sector. If you're a digital marketing professional with a flair for content creation and a passion for literature, we’d love to hear from you. The candidate should have 2-4 years in digital content marketing, be a highly skilled writer and researcher with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special requirements of writing for the literary and charity sector.

Job Details Permanent, Full-time £45,000 20 days holiday + 8% employer pension contribution, death in service benefit

Skills required Knowledge of and enthusiasm for digital marketing trends, literature, and the world in which professional writers operate and work within. Working knowledge of SEO and social media platforms. Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills. Experienced in Creative Cloud to produce images, graphics, videos, and artwork. Experience working with Asana or similar project management software like Asana, Monday.com or Trello. Knowledge of copyright and privacy regulations for editorial and pictorial content. Knowledge of relevant data protection and privacy legislation including GDPR. Knowledge of Google Analytics to monitor and measure website traffic. Hands on experience of using design and video editing software (e.g. Frame IO, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere). Strong administration and IT skills, including confident use of MS Office software, WordPress CMS, podcast publishing software (Libsyn), social media management publishing software (Sprout Social), and email-marketing software (MailChimp). Knowledge of relevant data protection and privacy legislation including GDPR.
