Summary: The Digital Marketing Executive at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's digital marketing strategy, focusing on CRM and email marketing. This position requires a data-driven and creative communicator to deliver engaging content and support various digital marketing initiatives. The role is a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or permanent placement. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to optimize marketing efforts and improve audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the enhancement of the Institute's email marketing strategy, aiming to increase personalization, engagement and list acquisition.
  • Support in the creation of customer journeys within Dynamics 365 Marketing for events, onboarding and lead generation.
  • Assist in implementing a data-driven approach to the organization's digital marketing efforts, focusing on campaign-oriented strategies to engage audiences across digital platforms.
  • Contribute to best practices for search, inbound, and PPC marketing, aligning strategies with regional target audiences.
  • Lead on the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns.
  • Quality assure email marketing campaigns sent by other CRM stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Assist in the creation of content including copy and imagery across digital marketing campaigns for relevant digital platforms ensuring close collaboration with colleagues in Website, Social, and Creative departments and the wider Global Strategic Communications team.
  • Assist in running a full calendar of A/B tests across relevant digital platforms.
  • Familiar with SEO theory and best practices. Ability to write search optimise content for digital channels.
  • Ensure all reporting documents across relevant digital platforms are kept up to date.
  • Regularly report on digital marketing campaigns, sharing insights with the wider team to enhance outputs and processes.
  • Collaborate on expanding the organization's utilization of Google Analytics (GA) to extract valuable data insights about audience behaviour on owned and earned channels.
  • Assist in the contact segmentation and data analysis of marketing campaigns in Microsoft Dynamics and other relevant platforms.
  • Assist in the role out of new features for Microsoft Dynamics Marketing and work closely with internal CRM stakeholders and relevant third parties to problem solve and ensure best practice is met.
  • Support on the production of content for events managed by the Global Strategic Communications team and other stakeholder teams where necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business on their efforts to directly communicate with stakeholders and assist with the training on use of digital marketing systems where appropriate.

Key Skills:

  • 1-2 years professional experience in a similar role.
  • A passion for digital marketing and willingness to share and adopt emerging trends.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and or other similar CRM platforms.
  • Previous experience of email marketing and running digital marketing campaigns.
  • Familiar with HTML, Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Excellent copywriting, communication and organisation skills with a proven high level of attention to detail.
  • Data-savvy with a strong feel for how it can improve outcomes and increase personalisation.
  • Familiar with working with data in compliance with relevant data laws e.g. GDPR.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a helpful and approachable attitude and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
