Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software products for citizen services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in software development across the department.
• Drive priorities to improve workforce participation and provide effective services to claimants.
• Accountable for the quality and performance of code produced by development teams.
• Assist in creating accessibility-compliant and performant services for diverse users.
• Collaborate with UCD colleagues to enhance user experience.
• Develop secure web applications and APIs, utilizing modern web development stacks.

Key Skills:

• Experience with NodeJs and building production applications.
• Proficiency in creating APIs and secure web applications.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavioural Driven Development (BDD).
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• Understanding of cloud hosting, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with no SQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience with RESTful services and Microservice Architectures.
• Ability to create accessibility-compliant services.
