Summary: The Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) Consultant role is a 6-month contract position focused on investigating cybersecurity incidents, particularly business email compromises and ransomware attacks. The consultant will conduct detailed digital forensics analysis and collaborate with clients to provide actionable insights. This position requires over 4 years of relevant experience and offers a mostly remote working arrangement with occasional travel to the London office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate business email compromise incidents and ransomware attacks
- Conduct detailed digital forensics analysis across a range of projects
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver clear, actionable insights
- Support incident response efforts and contribute to post-incident reviews
Key Skills:
- 4+ years’ experience in DFIR or a related cybersecurity role
- Strong understanding of digital forensics tools and methodologies
- Confident with tools such as Velociraptor, EnCase and X-Ways
- Experience handling ransomware and business email compromise cases preferred
- Ideally some experience with eDiscovery
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working remotely with occasional visits to the London office
