What's involved with this role: QAD 1892/1308 Role: Digital Criminal Investigation Officer Belfast based Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months Location: Belfast Pay Rate: Approximately 219 per day PAYE We are seeking a Digital Criminal Investigation Officer with experience in building evidential cases from complex and diverse data, following relevant lines of enquiry, and liaising with intelligence officers and analysts. The role involves assisting with ongoing investigations and preparing court cases and packs. Key accountabilities: Assist with ongoing investigations. Prepare court cases & packs. Access, interpret, and use communications data Digital media download processes and interpretation of resultant data Use of analytical software, particularly CHORUS to drive investigations. Training and mentoring of new recruits, specifically in the Policing Education Qualification Framework (PEQF). Qualifications/ Skills: Professionalising Investigation Programme Accreditation PIP 1 (or achieved via grandfather rights) or appropriate equivalent professional accreditation (essential ). Analytical software (Chorus desirable) Key requirements: Experience building evidential cases from complex and diverse data, following relevant lines of enquiry, liaising with intelligence officers and analysts Ability to take a raw product and develop into investigative lines of enquiry Using digital forensic technology to examine and analyse mobile devices Experience mentoring new recruits.
