Summary: The Digital Content Editor role at the Northern Ireland Assembly involves creating and managing digital content across various platforms, including the main website and social media. The position requires collaboration with the Communications Team to implement content plans and evaluate performance metrics. This is a maternity cover position with a focus on regulatory compliance and stakeholder engagement. The role is hybrid and offers an immediate start for up to one year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Publishing and administering the content management system for the Assembly website and Intranet.
- Managing WordPress-based micro-sites, including page building and user access monitoring.
- Monitoring content requests and providing training on content management systems.
- Ensuring content compliance with GDPR and accessibility standards.
- Participating in content ideation sessions and collaborating with Communications Officers.
- Assisting with video filming for internal and external audiences.
- Exporting video clips for online archives and responding to information requests.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including MLAs and Assembly staff.
- Managing information in accordance with policies and statutory requirements.
- Complying with Assembly Commission policies and performing additional duties as required.
Key Skills:
- Primary degree (minimum 2.2) or GCSE/GCE 'O' level passes with relevant experience.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress).
- Ability to create web content with accessibility considerations.
- Proficiency in online graphics software (e.g., Canva).
- Experience using social media management platforms.
- Ability to analyze content performance using analytics tools.
- Desirable qualifications in Digital and/or Social Media Marketing.
