Summary: The role of Band 6 Paediatric Dietitian is a part-time locum position based in Boston, Lincolnshire, focused on providing specialized nutrition and dietetic services for infants, children, and young people. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of high-quality dietetic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring evidence-based practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist paediatric dietetic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Lead the provision of nutritional support for children requiring complex dietary interventions.
  • Manage and support paediatric home enteral feeding patients, including undertaking domiciliary visits as required.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, family-centred care.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, patients, families, and carers.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with Trust and professional standards.

Key Skills:

  • Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Postgraduate experience in paediatric dietetics, including complex nutritional support.
  • Experience managing paediatric home enteral feeding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for domiciliary visits).

About the Role
