Summary: The role of DevSecOps Engineer involves delivering a consultancy project for a global client in the Investment banking sector, focusing on Cybersecurity. The position requires in-depth expertise in DevSecOps, particularly with BigID and Privacy Portal on-premises experience. The engineer will work in a hybrid setting, primarily based in Glasgow, and will be responsible for enhancing automation and orchestration within product squads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consultancy projects in the Investment banking sector focusing on Cybersecurity.
- Utilize in-depth DevSecOps expertise, particularly with BigID and Privacy Portal on-premises.
- Manage applications/services in an enterprise environment with a focus on CI/CD deployments.
- Implement DevOps methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Develop solutions using scripting, particularly in Python.
- Utilize tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Splunk.
- Ensure technology security and data protection compliance.
- Promote automation and orchestration to reduce manual processes for product squads.
- Quickly learn and understand proprietary technologies in a complex, regulated environment.
Key Skills:

Contract for an experienced DevSecOps SME to help deliver a consultancy project working on a global client within the Investment banking sector In Cyber.
In-depth DevSecOps expertise ideally with BigID and Privacy Portal on prem experience.
Privacy portal on prem is required as opposed to cloud DevOps CI/CD deployments,
Networking Operational and Engineering experience managing applications/services in an enterprise environment
Knowledge & experience of DevOps methodologies, tools and processes
Knowledge & Experience in scripting and developing solutions, Python scripting skills
Knowledge & experience in Git, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Kubernetes, Splunk, Public Cloud management
Technology security experience, Data protection
An automation/orchestration mind-set, enable the product squads to spend more time coding and less time on manual processes
Ability to quickly learn and understand proprietary technologies in a complex, regulated environment
