DevOps Openshift Consultant - Remote/London/Sheffield/Birmingham - £500 per day PAYE CONTRACT

Summary: We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Automation Engineer for a contract role with a leading Banking Group. The position requires a strong background in backup architecture and OpenShift, with responsibilities including the design and support of automation for data protection services. The role allows for a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days in the office and the remainder remote. Candidates should have extensive experience in development and configuration management tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and support automation for the data protection services within the bank.
• Design, develop, test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation.
• Provide engineering support on the bank's data protection products and their standard usage.
• Undertake product evaluation, new features, and versions.
• Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for all automation produced.
• Mentor less experienced members of staff.

Key Skills:

• 10+ years development experience with multiple languages, including Python, Bash.
• 5+ years' experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible.
• 5+ years' experience in configuration management and orchestration using Puppet.
• 5+ years' experience in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services.
• 5+ years' experience in DevOps SCM tooling, GitHub.
• 5+ years' experience in DevOps CI/CD tooling, Jenkins, CloudBees.
• 5+ years' experience in DevOps collaboration tools, Jira, Confluence.
• Strong technical background in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure.
• Strong technical background in Commvault and related infrastructure.

Salary (Rate): £500 per day PAYE
