Summary: The role of DevOps Infrastructure System Engineer involves supporting a secured Government project, requiring active SC and NPPV3 clearance. The position demands extensive experience in IT, particularly with Linux, AWS, and Docker, along with responsibilities in virtual desktop management, networking, and automation. The candidate must also be flexible to travel to specified locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtual Desktop Management Support such as User Creation and Management
- Operating System Patch management
- Networking and Firewall Management
- Backup and Restore
- Capacity Management and Server Tuning
- License and CERT Management
- Automate manual work
- Problem diagnosis and support
- Software Tools Installation and Management
- Flexibility to travel to remote places on demand (Birmingham + Croydon)
Key Skills:
- 10+ Years of experience over all in IT
- Hands on experience in Linux Operating System, Shell Scripting, AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Docker Framework
- Agile background
- Problem diagnosis and support and Secured Environment Development Practice
- AWS Cloud Infrastructure (VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, EFS, Firewall, Guard Duty, Lambda, Key Management, SCM, Active Directory)
- Experience working with tools such as Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Stash, Shell Scripting, Python, Jenkins
- Ubuntu Operating System and Server and Virtual Machines Management, Proxmox, SSL Key Authentication and Authorisation
- Software Installation and Application Maintenance (Rocket Chat Server, Thunder Bird, Idea, PgAdmin)
- Knowledge on security scanning tools (Nessus, Alient Vault)
- Knowledge on Firewall Server (Juniper)
