Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Duck Creek and a solid understanding of the insurance domain. The role involves automating, deploying, and managing Duck Creek solutions in cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring infrastructure scalability, security, and high availability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline processes and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and Claims applications.
- Automate deployment processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
- Collaborate with Duck Creek developers and QA teams to streamline build and release processes.
- Manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or similar tools.
- Support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (preferred).
- Maintain configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Monitor application performance, uptime, and logs using tools like Splunk, ELK Stack, or Prometheus/Grafana.
- Work with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP a plus) to ensure scalable and secure environments.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, audit, and regulatory requirements (especially for insurance clients).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the development, test, and production environments.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response activities when required.
Key Skills:
- 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with Duck Creek Experience particularly with deployment and environment management.
- Solid understanding of insurance business processes and workflows (Policy, Claims, Billing).
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Proficiency in source control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services (App Services, AKS, ADO, Key Vault, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong grasp of infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Knowledge of application monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
