Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer/Security Architect involves supporting a significant public sector transformation programme by implementing cloud security frameworks and influencing architectural decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the cloud security framework and architecture for a large, complex technology programme.
  • Ensure cloud security controls meet business, compliance, and performance requirements.
  • Document cloud security implementations and support transition into security-managed operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding engineering teams, influencing decisions, and solving complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with multiple delivery teams to embed security into the full software development life cycle.
  • Conduct assessments of cloud security controls and recommend improvements.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing and training sessions on cloud security best practices.
  • Research emerging cloud and security technologies, ensuring continuous improvement of security posture.

  • Expert-level proficiency in DevOps engineering practices.
  • Strong experience with Cloud Infrastructure Security and Cloud Security Architecture.
  • Advanced capability with Git and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience working with Managed Cloud Security Services.
