Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer requires SC and NPPV3 Security Clearance, along with extensive experience in AWS Cloud platforms. This position is a 6-month rolling contract based in Croydon, offering a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will work on large-scale government projects, focusing on building and automating secure and scalable AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, automate, and deliver highly available, secure, and scalable AWS Cloud environments.
- Utilize in-depth AWS Services expertise including EC2, RDS, Aurora PG, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, and Amazon Linux 2023.
- Employ DevOps tools such as Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, and Groovy pipelines.
- Perform scripting using Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, and Java.
- Administer PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, HA, replication, backup/DR, Git, Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Alert Manager.
- Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and manage technical escalations.
- Support Agile teams and remove delivery blockers.
- Lead workshops and provide 24/7 production support.
- Utilize advantageous skills in Linux Sys Admin, AD, networking, Firewalls, switch config/patching, and AWS/Azure Certifications.
Key Skills:
- SC and NPPV3 Security Clearance.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools: Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Groovy.
- Experience with scripting languages: Shell, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Java.
- PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow.
- Experience with monitoring tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Alert Manager.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
- Advantageous skills in Linux Sys Admin, AD, networking, Firewalls, and AWS/Azure Certifications.
