Summary: An exciting opportunity exists for an SC Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary platform engineering team within the Defence sector. The role focuses on sharing expertise and best practices in DevOps to enhance team performance and project delivery. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and other engineers to ensure successful project outcomes. Active SC Clearance is a prerequisite for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Share expertise and best DevOps practices with the team.
• Work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
• Maintain relationships with demanding stakeholders throughout projects.
• Support project delivery to ensure commercially successful conclusions.
• Collaborate with other DevOps Engineers within the team.
• Develop common services and manuals to aid delivery teams.
• Utilize MOD experience in project execution.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a DevOps environment with automated CI/CD pipelines (Tekton, Github Actions).
• Integration of security scanning tools (SonarQube, Anchore, OWASP ZAP).
• Namespace provisioning and management.
• Infrastructure-as-code configuration and maintenance (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with containerized services (Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Keycloak, Elk).
• Storage management (S3-Compatible).
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark for ETL and data engineering.
• Dependency management using Poetry and Dependabot.
• Experience with Gunicorn for Python Flask applications.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch for advanced search functionalities.
