Summary: The DevOps Engineer role involves supporting a technical team in delivering digital transformation for the MoD, focusing on the design and automation of infrastructure components using various technologies. The position requires SC Clearance and emphasizes the development of automation packages and production-quality code. The role is hybrid based in Corsham, with a contract duration of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply complex problem solving to create zero touch automation packages for legacy applications.
• Create production quality code following industry best practices and internal policies.
• Produce and review design artefacts at all levels.
• Support NSoIT(D) system testing activities.
• Resolve issues in collaboration with Service Management.
• Utilize the Atlassian Suite for tasking and documentation.

Key Skills:

• At least 12 months' experience in creating Python3 automation classes.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.
• Experience in automated deployment across multiple vendors.
• Experience in building or supporting large infrastructure environments.
• Troubleshooting hardware or software component failures.
• Experience working in an Agile development team.
• Advanced Python3 and PowerShell coding experience.
• At least one relevant professional certification obtained in the last five years.
• Formal Software Development certification.
