Summary: The DevOps Engineer role involves supporting a technical team in delivering digital transformation for the MoD, focusing on the design and automation of infrastructure components using various technologies. The position requires hands-on experience with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages, along with the ability to create production-quality code and troubleshoot complex systems. Candidates must possess SC Clearance and be prepared to work full-time on-site in Corsham. This is a 12-month contract with a competitive daily rate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply complex problem solving to create zero touch automation packages for legacy applications.
• Create production quality code following industry best practices and internal policies.
• Produce and review design artefacts at all levels.
• Support NSoIT(D) system testing activities.
• Resolve issues in collaboration with Service Management.
• Utilize the Atlassian Suite for tasking and documentation.

Key Skills:

• At least 12 months' hands-on experience with Python3 automation.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.
• Experience in automated deployment across multiple technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software failures.
• Experience working in an Agile development team.
• Advanced knowledge of Python3 and PowerShell coding features.
• Relevant professional certifications obtained within the last five years.
