Summary: The role of a DevOps Engineer involves maintaining and supporting secure platforms for the Home Office, with a focus on automation, integration, and operational support. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, configure, develop, and support secure platforms in a multi-disciplinary DevOps team.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and integration processes where possible.
- Collaborate with IT Operations, IT Development, and IT Service teams to promote a DevOps culture.
- Manage continuous integration, continuous delivery, version control, and release management.
- Provision cloud environments and ensure smooth infrastructure automation.
- Work closely with customers to ensure high levels of service and support.
- Participate in on-call support, as agreed with the team lead.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Ansible, Helm, Terraform.
- Containerisation & Orchestration: Rancher, Kubernetes.
- Cloud & Virtualisation: AWS, VMware.
- Monitoring & Logging: Elastic Stack (ELK/ECK).
- Version Control & CI/CD: GitLab.
- Scripting & Development: GoLang.
- Operating Systems: Linux.
