Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer focuses on designing, building, implementing, and supporting innovative Linux systems within a leading SaaS and technology company. The position requires strong experience in Linux, AWS, and various DevOps tools, with a hybrid working arrangement of two days in the office. The contract is for an initial six months and is classified as inside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, implement, and support Linux systems with a focus on availability, performance, reliability, and security.
- Work with AWS Cloud and automation tools.
- Take ownership of projects and drive them forward.
- Collaborate across a range of projects, tools, and technologies.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in Linux administration and engineering.
- Solid AWS skills.
- Understanding of RPM packaging, systems, networking, and storage.
- Knowledge of Ansible and DevOps methods.
- Experience with Packer, HCL/JSON templates, and builder vs. provisioner distinction.
- Strong CI/CD understanding.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to lead work and drive projects forward.

DevOps Engineer - Linux - AWS - £600 per day
Our client is a leading SaaS and technology company, building innovative solutions for Data Management, Analytics and Machine Learning. They’re looking to hire an experienced DevOps Engineer and good experience across Linux, AWS, Ansible and Packer etc. 2 days a week in the office, hybrid, inital 6 months, inside IR35 and paying up to £600 per day.
From day one you’ll be involved in the design, build, implementation and support of innovative Linux systems with a focus on availability, performance, reliability, and security - From bare-metal through to virtualisation, AWS Cloud and automation. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a range of projects, tools and technologies and have real ownership of your work – A very varied challenge!
Requirements:
- Proven experience of Linux administration and engineering
- Solid AWS skills
- Great understanding of RPM packaging, systems, networking and storage
- Great nowledge of Ansible and DevOps methods
- Packer skills
- HCL / JSON templates, builder vs. provisioner distinction etc
