Summary: DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes experience is required to support a Higher Education client in implementing infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications. The role involves working with private cloud infrastructure using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will also have experience in virtualization projects and CI/CD pipeline implementation. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement with on-site requirements in central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications and associated services.
- Deploy applications using Kubernetes.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Liaise with end-users to gather requirements for application deployments.
- Work on virtualization projects and utilize VMware.
- Use Ansible and GitHub for deployment processes.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code development (Terraform).
- Ability to gather requirements from end-users.
- Experience with virtualization projects and VMware.
- Familiarity with Ansible and GitHub.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for will implement infrastructure as code pipelines for deploying research-supporting applications and associated services on private cloud (on-prem) infrastructure using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.
DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes- Virtualisation- Essential Expereince
- Experience deploying applications with Kubernetes
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Terraform).
- Ability to liaise with end-users to gather requirements, ensuring that application deployments meet their needs and that available resources are used efficiently.
- Expereince of working on Virtualisation projects, awareness of VMware
- Experience of using Ansible and GitHub.
DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes- Virtualisation- Desirable Expereince
- Knowledge of public/private cloud
- Experience within a Higher Education environment, particularly working with research/academic stakeholders to translate their requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of python and Rstudio or Rancher or Kubernetes cluster on Harvester.
Hybrid workign with 1-2 days per week on site in central London
Pay rate £510.00 per day inside IR35
