Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Deploy and customize Open Source VTC and Chat capabilities.
  • Understand Real Time communication protocols (WebRTC, SIP, STUN/TURN).
  • Script and program using languages such as JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Bash.
  • Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or private/on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
  • Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (eg, Helm, GitOps, ArgoCD).
  • Monitor and log using tools (eg, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki).
  • Maintain a security-conscious mindset with knowledge of TLS, authentication, and access controls.
  • Work with communication tools (eg, Mattermost).
  • Familiarize with Back End technologies like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis.
  • Exposure to Zero Trust networking and secure enclave deployments.

Summer-Browning Associates are currently supporting our client, a consultancy who have a project of work supporting a Central Government client.

They seeking a DevOps Engineer who is vetted to SC level (and is also eligible/willing to undertake DV once the assignment has commenced). The successful applicant will possess strong communication skills, great at working independently and taking real accountability and can demonstrate hands on experience.

Experience

  • Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Experience of deploying and customising Open Source VTC and Chat capabilities would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Real Time communication protocols (WebRTC, SIP, STUN/TURN).
  • Proficiency in Scripting and programming (eg, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, Bash).
  • Experience with Linux system administration, networking, and Firewall configuration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or private/on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (eg, Helm, GitOps, ArgoCD).
