About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our clients dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven track record in delivering DevOps solutions within government projects. You will work remotely for most of the time, with occasional travel to our Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and deploy infrastructure using Helm and Kubernetes.
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support agile development workflows.
  • Utilize Docker for containerization and deployment of scalable applications.
  • Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Implement best practices for infrastructure as code and automated deployment.
  • Ensure adherence to government regulations, policies, and security standards.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and container orchestration tools.
  • Proven experience in a government or public sector environment, with an understanding of security and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to Newcastle for on-site meetings and work.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Certification in Kubernetes or related DevOps technologies.
  • Knowledge of modern monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
