Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer involves supporting a public sector client on an exciting project, requiring expertise in Terraform, Python, and AWS. This position is a 5-6 month contract based in Newcastle upon Tyne with hybrid working arrangements. The role is classified as outside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate. The position is set to start as soon as possible and will last until the end of 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support public sector clients on an exciting project.
  • Utilize Terraform, Python, and DynamoDB in project tasks.
  • Build a platform rather than just building on a platform.
  • Work with AWS or cross-train from Azure, GitHub or similar tools like GitLab, and Databricks.
  • Implement additional technologies such as Linux, Bash, and Kubernetes as needed.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience with Terraform and Python.
  • Experience with DynamoDB.
  • AWS background or ability to cross-train from Azure.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or similar platforms like GitLab.
  • Experience in building platforms.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Bash, and Kubernetes is a plus.

DevOps Engineer - BPSS/SC role

5-6 Month Contract

Newcastle upon Tyne - Hybrid Working

OUTSIDE IR35 - £400 Per Day

One of my national consultancy clients' is looking for 2 DevOps Engineers, to support one of their public sector end clients' on an exciting project.

The role is to start ASAP and will last until the end of 2026.

Key Skills/Responsibilities

You will need to have proven experience of working with Terraform & Python + DynamoDB

Ideally you will come from an AWS background (or cross-train from Azure), GitHub (or cross-train from similar like GitLab), Databricks.

You must have experience of building a platform, rather than just building on a platform.

More nice to haves include Linux, Bash, Kubernetes.
