Summary: The DevOps Engineer - Security role is a contract position based in the Manchester Area, requiring the candidate to work three days a week. The successful applicant will join a small team focused on building a telemetry pipeline MVP, leveraging their expertise in containers and various monitoring tools. This position is inside IR35 and offers a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the buildout of a telemetry pipeline MVP.
- Utilize hands-on expertise with containers, specifically Kubernetes and Openshift.
- Manage version control, preferably using GitLab.
- Work with monitoring tools such as Cribl, Elastic, Splunk, Fluent, and syslog.
- Administer Linux systems and utilize Chef for configuration management.
- Apply knowledge of networking and security principles in daily tasks.
Key Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Openshift.
- Proficiency in version control systems, preferably GitLab.
- Familiarity with Cribl, Elastic, Splunk, Fluent, and syslog.
- Solid knowledge of Linux administration and Chef.
