Summary: The DevOps Engineer role is a 6-month position based in Croydon, requiring 2-3 days a week on-site work. The position involves working with a global leader in consulting and technology services, focusing on cloud and digital transformation. Candidates must have experience with essential technologies such as Scala, Java, AWS, and Docker, and be comfortable in agile team environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain applications using Scala and Java (Spring Boot).
  • Utilize AWS for cloud services and manage network configurations.
  • Implement Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Apply test-driven development practices using Junit & Mockito or similar libraries.
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Collaborate effectively within agile teams and across disciplines.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in Scala and Java (Spring Boot).
  • Experience with AWS and network management.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development (Junit & Mockito).
  • Experience with CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to work in agile teams.
  • Desirable: Experience with AKKA and Play framework.
