Summary: The Technical DevOps Engineer role focuses on Artifact Management within a global consultancy, requiring expertise in optimizing development tooling and managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure migrations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose and implement system enhancements to improve security posture and operational efficiency
  • Monitor usage and performance of development tools, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
  • Analyze complexity and feasibility of new or changed requirements, ensuring alignment with system architecture
  • Plan, evaluate, migrate, develop, implement, configure, test, and roll out systems across hardware, software, and networks
  • Analyze outages and defective states, initiating and monitoring measures to remedy them
  • Install and administer Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools to streamline development processes
  • Focus on Artifact Management by redesigning repository infrastructure and migrating on-premises repositories to cloud-based solutions
  • Manage and optimize Nexus Repository Manager, Nexus Lifecycle (IQ), and Azure Container Registry (ACR)

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of RedHat Linux and Solaris x86 Unix environments with scripting expertise in Bash and Python
  • Hands-on experience administering and installing GitLab, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Nexus Repository Manager, and Nexus Lifecycle (IQ)
  • Working knowledge of configuring project build automation using Maven and Gradle
  • Solid understanding of Continuous Integration build chains, development processes, and associated tools
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Helm for orchestration and deployment
  • Good understanding of networking and storage within cloud and hybrid environments
  • Proficiency in Unix shell scripting and Windows PowerShell for automation
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate, assess, and propose new tools and plugins
