Summary: The Senior Azure DevOps Engineer role is a contract position focused on infrastructure and deployment, requiring expertise in Terraform and Azure. The engineer will work on critical cloud initiatives in a collaborative Agile environment, primarily managing CI/CD pipelines and provisioning infrastructure. The position is based in Glasgow and requires five days of onsite work per week. The contract is for six months with a strong possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and refine CI/CD pipelines
- Provision and maintain infrastructure in Azure using Terraform
- Execute and improve runbooks for environment deployment and adjustments
- Work with Azure services, subscriptions, networking, and event brokers
- Collaborate within an Agile, sprint-based delivery model (Scrum/Kanban hybrid)
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC)
- Deep knowledge of Azure core infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred)
- Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity, and event systems
- Ability to work in a self-organizing, collaborative Agile team
- Comfortable with 5 days onsite in Glasgow
- Experience in the financial/banking sector is a MASSIVE bonus!
