Summary: The DevOps Engineer role is a 12-month contract position based in Essex, focusing on enhancing a large-scale AWS and Kubernetes environment. The engineer will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, overseeing deployments, and improving CI/CD pipelines. This position requires collaboration with development and testing teams to ensure application performance and reliability. The role is classified as outside IR35, offering a competitive day rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support cloud infrastructure hosted in AWS
- Oversee Kubernetes-based environments and deployments
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes
- Support production releases and troubleshoot deployment issues
- Work collaboratively with development and testing teams to ensure stable and secure environments
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering within large-scale environments (ideally enterprise or financial)
- Strong background in AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Confident with Linux environments and scripting for automation
- Familiar with deployment and release management best practices
- A proactive self-starter with strong communication and task management skills
Salary (Rate): £350.00 daily

This role will focus on supporting and improving a large-scale AWS and Kubernetes environment, ensuring smooth deployments, strong automation, and reliable application performance.
