Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure with a focus on EKS.
- Designing, maintaining, and improving CI pipelines, preferably with GitLab.
- Operating Kubernetes clusters using GitOps principles.
- Deploying and managing workloads using FluxCD, Flux Operator, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Working with service mesh technologies, ideally Istio.
- Implementing and supporting observability using tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Jaeger.
- Containerising Java Spring Boot and NodeJS applications and deploying them into Kubernetes.
- Troubleshooting platform and application issues across environments.
Key Skills:
- At least 3 years of production experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer.
- Strong AWS experience, particularly with EKS, S3, RDS, and KMS.
- Hands-on experience with CI pipelines, ideally GitLab or similar tools.
- Strong Kubernetes experience with relevant certifications such as CKAD, CKA, or CKS.
- Practical experience with FluxCD, Helm, and Kustomize.
- Experience with service mesh technologies, preferably Istio.
- Good understanding of observability and monitoring in distributed systems.
- Experience containerising and deploying Java Spring Boot and NodeJS applications.
- Ability to independently analyse complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Genuine enthusiasm for Kubernetes, containerisation, and modern DevOps tooling.
- A mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement.

DevOps Engineer 12 months contract - Inside IR35 Must be eligible for BPSS (SC Clearance is a plus) We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on modern, cloud platforms. This role is hands on and suited to someone who enjoys building, running, and improving Kubernetes based environments in production, not just talking about them. You will work closely with developers, platform engineers, and architects to deliver secure, observable, and scalable systems. If Kubernetes, automation, and clean tooling genuinely excite you, you are very much the target audience.
