Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer involves working on a 6-month contract basis, focusing on a blend of infrastructure and development within a hybrid working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the DevOps toolchain and will be responsible for mentoring team members while rapidly applying new skills to challenging projects. The position is classified as outside IR35, indicating a favorable tax status for contractors. Immediate availability is preferred for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to implement and manage DevOps practices.
- Utilize cloud technologies, particularly Azure, for infrastructure management.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other tools.
- Deploy enterprise-grade Power Platform solutions.
- Automate package delivery processes using tools like Ansible and Chef.
- Conduct functional, non-functional, and unit testing during software development.
- Utilize scripting languages for automation and configuration management.
- Monitor and log application performance using various tools.
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in cloud technologies, especially Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD practices and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep).
- Familiarity with Power Platform and its components.
- Automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Understanding of application server and Java container technologies.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Knowledge of database technologies such as Azure SQL and MongoDB.
- Advanced skills in Power Platform languages like PowerFX and DAX.
