Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer focuses on leveraging Kubernetes expertise within a secure environment, requiring active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The position involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, and collaborating with software development teams. This opportunity offers a competitive daily rate and a unique compressed working week of four days on-site while being paid for five. The contract is initially for six months with a strong likelihood of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Managing, scaling, and optimising Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and containerised applications.
- Implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using relevant automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Ensuring system security, reliability, and performance within a high-integrity environment.
- Automating operational tasks, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborating with development teams throughout the software lifecycle (SDLC).
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of workflows and technology adoption.
Key Skills:
- MUST hold current, active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
- Proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) implementation and management.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with software security best practices and secure development lifecycles.
- Experience working across the full SDLC.
