Summary: The role of DevOps Engineer (AWS) is a 6-month contract position within a Financial Services/FinTech organization based in Edinburgh, focusing on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure in AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in DevOps, particularly with AWS technologies, and will be expected to work in a hybrid model, spending 1-2 days per week on-site. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The role is classified as inside IR35, requiring work through an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Support a large/complex programme of work.
- Work collaboratively as part of a project team.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- Implement containerization and orchestration using K8s, EKS, and Docker.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Experience in FinTech or small-to-medium Financial Services organizations.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, ideally with AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary (Rate): £500 per day

An Edinburgh Financial Services/FinTech organisation is currently looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join their team on a Contract basis. Supporting a large/complex programme of work, the primary focus of the roles will involve managing & optimising their cloud infrastructure in AWS and to be successful, previous knowledge & experience should include:
- Previous & proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer
- Experience within other FinTech / small-to-medium Financial Services organisations
- Deep experience with cloud platforms & technologies, specifically AWS (Ideally including AWS DevOps Engineer certification)
- Containerisation and Orchestration with K8s, EKS and Docker etc
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation
- As always, excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills with the ability to work as part of a project team and on own initiative
