Summary: The role is for two DevOps Engineers specializing in AWS, contracted for six months within a Financial Services/FinTech organization in Edinburgh. The primary focus is on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, requiring hands-on experience and specific technical skills. Candidates should be available immediately and able to work on-site 2-3 days a week in a hybrid model. The position is classified as inside IR35, necessitating work through an umbrella company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Support a large and complex program of work.
- Work collaboratively as part of a project team and independently.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Experience in FinTech or small-to-medium Financial Services organizations.
- Deep knowledge of AWS, ideally with AWS DevOps Engineer certification.
- Containerization and orchestration experience with K8s, EKS, and Docker.
- Kubernetes package management with Helm Charts.
- Strong knowledge of serverless technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
- CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of tools like Dynatrace and ForgeRock is advantageous.
Salary (Rate): £500 daily

An Edinburgh Financial Services/FinTech organisation is currently looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join their team on a Contract basis. Supporting a large/complex programme of work, the primary focus of the roles will involve managing & optimising their cloud infrastructure in AWS and to be successful, previous knowledge & experience should include:
- Previous & proven experience working as a DevOps Engineer
- Experience within other FinTech / small-to-medium Financial Services organisations
- Deep experience with cloud platforms & technologies, specifically AWS (Ideally including AWS DevOps Engineer certification)
- Containerisation and Orchestration with K8s, EKS and Docker
- Kubernetes package management with Helm Charts
- Strong knowledge of Serverless Technologies etc
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation
- CI/CD with Azure DevOps
- As always, excellent people, communication & inter-personal skills with the ability to work as part of a project team and on own initiative
- Finally, any additional knowledge of tools like Dynatrace & ForgeRock would be highly advantageous but not essential
