Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable RESTful API services and Front End clients using Python, GoLang, and Cloud-Native technologies.
- Drive infrastructure automation using Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
- Own and manage database schema changes via Liquibase, ensuring alignment with compliance and audit requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with a strong focus on traceability and regulatory controls.
- Monitor, manage, and optimize AWS and GCP infrastructure to ensure resilience, performance, cost-efficiency, and data security.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience building and supporting RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in Python and GoLang.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architectures.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD pipeline creation, preferably with a focus on security and compliance.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer/DevOps Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. This hybrid role (3 days/week on-site in Edinburgh or Sheffield) is ideal for a passionate technologist experienced in cloud-native development, infrastructure automation, and scalable software solutions hosted on AWS and GCP.
In this role, you will design and implement robust Front End clients, resilient Back End services, and modern DevOps practices that support secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms.
