Summary: DevOps Engineer with active SC Security Clearance is required for a 3 to 6 month hybrid contract in Taunton, UK. The role involves supporting the design and maintenance of secure Azure cloud environments, focusing on automation and CI/CD processes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and automated cloud environments within a regulated Azure ecosystem.
  • Work closely with Lead Developers, DevOps Leads, Architects, and Testers to enable efficient software delivery through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platform management.
  • Drive operational excellence, deployment reliability, and continuous improvement across the development life cycle.
  • Utilize strong Azure Cloud Services experience, including hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and release management.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Bicep, Terraform, and ARM Templates.
  • Develop, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
  • Implement automated build, deployment, and environment provisioning processes, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools within Azure environments.
  • Configure and maintain Azure cloud resources across Development, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Assist in implementing containerized solutions using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
  • Maintain active SC Security Clearance throughout the contract.

DevOps Engineer needed with active SC Security Clearance and strong hands-on Azure Cloud experience. 3 to 6 Month Contract based in Taunton (Hybrid).

Hybrid Working - primarily working remotely from home with travel to the Taunton (Somerset) office typically 3 times per month.

A chance to work with a leading global IT transformation on a large-scale Government project. Paying up to £500/day (Outside IR35). Start ASAP during Summer 2026.

Key skills, experience + tasks will include:
