Summary: The Development Team Lead role involves providing technical leadership and mentorship to an established development team focused on enhancing customer accounts to meet legislative requirements and organizational objectives. The position requires expertise in Java and Spring Boot, along with experience in agile environments and AWS technologies. The role is hybrid, allowing for both on-site and remote work, and is classified as outside IR35. This is a contract position for an initial duration of six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and delivery capability to the development team.
• Rapidly build upon a customer account to meet legislative needs and deliver cost reduction and modernization objectives.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Lead, Lead Architect, and Security Manager to ensure alignment with existing patterns and industry best practices.

Key Skills:

• Experience with Java and Spring Boot based microservices.
• Experience with AWS public cloud technologies.
• Experience with TDD and Unit-Test tooling.
• Experience in a senior role within engineering teams on Government projects.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and best-practice approaches.
• Experience in mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior staff.
