Harvey Nash's public sector client are currently looking to recruit a Development Team Lead to join their team based Glasgow/Remote for an initial 6-month period. You will provide technical leadership, mentorship and delivery capability to an established team with pressing need to rapidly build upon a customer account in order to meet legislative needs and deliver organisational cost reduction and modernisation objectives.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working with, building and modernisation of Java and Spring Boot based microservices
- Experience of working with public cloud technologies (for this role, we require AWS specifically)
- Experience of TDD and Unit-Test tooling
- Experience of acting in a position of seniority within engineering teams within Government projects to deliver/enhance public facing services
- Familiar with JavaScript and best-practice approaches
- Demonstrable experience in mentoring and conducting knowledge transfer to junior permanent in-house staff
