Summary: The Development & Research Engine Test Technician role in Peterborough involves executing engine testing to meet customer requirements within a 24/7 shift pattern. This will be for a 24/7 Shift pattern. 4 Nights – 2 days off – 3 days on – 2 days off – 3 nights on – 2 days off – 4 days on – 8 days off. The whole cycle is 28 days in which you work 14. Shift premium applied also.
Assist engineers in conducting technical investigations of current and future product, components, materials, and processes. The Technician role within operations is building technical knowledge and experience of operations, an essential role focused on executing engine testing to customer requirements. 85% test bed operations, 15% training/development and improvement activities.
Good engine and mechanical diagnostic/problem solving skills. Previous experience in motor vehicle maintenance or engine testing. Automation Applicants will ideally have an engineering or motor mechanics apprenticeship.
