Summary: The Full Stack Development Lead (Investment Technology) role involves leading the development of technology solutions that support portfolio management and trading within a consultancy environment. The position requires extensive experience in software engineering and a strong command of full stack development technologies. The successful candidate will engage with global stakeholders and drive application development across cloud-native and hybrid architectures. This is a six-month contract role based in London, classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working across investment technology stacks, engaging directly with global stakeholders across investment, operations, products and wider technology teams to drive technology solutions that support portfolio management and trading.
- Drive full stack application development using modern technologies across cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
- Own the production environment operations and applications.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a Matrix environment.
- Strong command of full stack development: Javascript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch etc.).
- Prior experience working in the Asset Management, Investment Banking or Wealth Management.

We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Full Stack Development Lead in Investment Technologies to join their team for a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a lead role
- Proven ability to led teams and drive cross-functional delivery in a Matrix environment
- Strong command of full stack development: Javascript (React/Angular), Node.js or Java/.NET/Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services (Glue, Lambda, API gateway, IAM, S3, CloudWatch etc.)
- Prior experience working in the Asset Management, Investment Banking or Wealth Management
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
- Knowledge of front office platform and workflows: OMS, PMS and risk engines
- Experience with ETF platforms and fund lifecycle processes
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Python and event driven architecture
- Exposure to regulatory reporting, ESG data pipelines or performance attribution systems
