Summary: The Development Control Engineer role is a full-time, 6-month contract position based in Central London, focused on providing highway advice related to new planning applications. The successful candidate will engage with Legal Services and third parties to manage highway development schemes and process relevant applications under the Highways Act 1980. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide highway advice on the impacts of new planning applications on the highway network.
  • Liaise and negotiate with Legal Services and third parties on applications under S38, S278, Stopping Up Orders, and other Licences in connection with the highway's development management schemes.
  • Process highway applications and technical approval under S38, S184, S278 of the Highways Act 1980.
