Job Title: Development and Production Test EngineerLocation: Stevenage (Onsite)Rate: 26- 36 per hour UmbrellaDuration: 12monthsKey skills: Development / Production / Test / Electronics / RF / Microwave Technology / High Voltage / CADMIDClearance: SC is required for this opportunityWe are seeking an experienced Development and Production Test Engineer to join our team in Stevenage. This onsite role offers a dynamic and challenging environment where you'll contribute to the testing and development of advanced technology systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for the manufacturing testing of weapon subsystems, including both production and development stages.Diagnose and troubleshoot complex weapon systems at both the system and subsystem levels.Offer Test Engineering support during the Design and Development phases, from initial concept through to Production Readiness Review and Operations release.Ensure test facility introduction and maintain configuration control of equipment and facilities prior to use, including generating test specifications and operator instructions.Conduct testing of electrical/electronic weapon systems and sub-assemblies, with the capability to diagnose production test failures down to the circuit card and potentially component level.Identify and implement remedial and corrective actions promptly to support continued manufacturing in line with the program.Evaluate technical problems and develop proposals for test equipment investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.Act as the Test Engineering representative at Defect Review Board meetings, ensuring efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action.Key Skills And ExperienceHNC/HND (Electronics) level qualification or equivalent, with substantial experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and testing.Significant experience with measurement and test principles, and associated test equipment.Understanding of the CADMID product lifecycle for test equipment is desirable.Knowledge of RF and microwave technology at the subsystem level would be an advantage.Experience with environmental testing, including ESS, is also advantageous.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports based on higher-level requirements.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to plan and organize work to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks against project objectives.High voltage training or awareness is required.Familiarity with SAP and strong MS Office skills are beneficial.If you are a proactive and skilled Development and Production Test Engineer with a background in electronics and a passion for innovation, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our team.PLEASE NOTE***Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility to gain is required to be considered for this vacancyServices advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.We will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
