Developer-in-Test (SC Cleared)

Summary: The Developer-in-Test role requires an individual with active SC Security Clearance and strong Java coding skills for a 3-month rolling contract. The position is hybrid, allowing for remote work 3-4 days a week and on-site work in either Southend or Reading. The candidate will work with a leading global IT and Digital transformation business focused on government projects, utilizing test automation and continuous integration tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Java.
• Utilize test automation tools such as Selenium, Serenity, or Cucumber.
• Implement continuous integration processes with tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
• Conduct testing of UI and Web Services systems, both end-to-end and in isolation.
• Manage large datasets and ensure data isolation in multi-tenanted SAAS environments.
• Write and maintain SQL statements for database operations.
• Use Test Management tools like Jira for planning, execution, and reporting.
• Work with AWS Cloud environments and automated infrastructure.

Key Skills:

• Active SC Security Clearance.
• Strong Java coding skills.
• Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Serenity, Cucumber).
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Stash, Hudson, GitHub).
• Experience in testing UI and Web Services systems.
• Ability to manage large datasets in SAAS environments.
• Proficient in writing SQL insert, update, and delete statements.
• Experience with Test Management tools like Jira.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud environments.
• Advantageous skills in JavaScript, JMeter scripting, Performance Testing, Agile/Scrum.

Salary (Rate): £450/day
