Developer-in-Test (SC Cleared)

Summary: Developer-in-Test with active SC Security Clearance and Java coding skills is required for a 3-month rolling contract based in Southend or Reading. The role involves hybrid working, with 3-4 days remote and 1-2 days on-site. The position is with a leading global IT and Digital transformation business specializing in Government projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and test software with strong Java coding and test automation skills.
• Work on Government/GOV.UK projects.
• Utilize test automation tools such as Selenium, Serenity, or Cucumber.
• Implement Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, Stash, Hudson, or Github.
• Test UI and Web Services systems, including end-to-end and isolated testing using Mocks.
• Handle large datasets and understand data isolation in multi-tenanted SAAS platforms.
• Write and maintain SQL insert, update, and delete statements.
• Use Test Management tools like Jira for planning, test execution, and reporting.
• Work with AWS Cloud environments and automated infrastructure.
• Leverage advantageous skills such as JavaScript, JMeter Scripting, Performance Testing, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Maintain SC Security Clearance throughout the contract.

Key Skills:

• Active SC Security Clearance.
